Now knows how to upgrade laptop memory

If you told me maybe a few years ago that I would need a memory upgrade, I might answer you Huh? As I really knew zilch about computers other than use them for typing and playing games. But a few months ago I had a learning crash course on computer repair and upgrades when my laptop suddenly crashed and would not boot up leading me to ask my friend who taught me on the spot about these things. He detected that my laptop memory was fried and needed to be replaced but before doing so he taught me all about computer hardware, specifically the memory and the hard disk which are the most commonly replaced items in a PC. As for my laptop, all it needed was a brand new 1 GB Mac memory for it to work again and that is exactly what I bought and upgraded.
